16 September 2010. At the Southwest in Bloom presentations in Bath, the Hayle in Bloom team were delighted, first to hear that we had won Gold and then to hear that we were the SWTA Cup winners for the second year in a row.
We also won Neighbourhood Awards for:
Library Wildlife Garden
King George V Memorial Walk (Outstanding)
The picture shows us receiving the Gold Award from TV and radio presenter Bob Flowerdew.
Margaret hold the Cup outside the Assembly Rooms in Bath.
16 July 2010. We thought judging was going ok until Jon Wheatley was eaten by a tiger in the newly-created Jungle area maintained by new adopt-a-plotter Shirley Olds. Luckily we had a spare judge so things were able to continue. See more pictures in the gallery.
15 July 2010. Our entries for the children's art competition have been selected and forwarded for judging. Here is the winning painting in the 12+ category from Christian Turner of St. Piran's School. Isn't it amazing? See the others here.

01 July 2010. The bed celebrating the centenary of the Girl Guides on Penpol Terrace is looking really nice. In fact the whole of the Terrace is looking excellent.
22 June 2010. The date for judging has been set and it is on Thursday, 15 July at 10am. Our judges are Jon Wheatley and Tom Sharples. Jon has visited us before and we look forward to meeting Tom.
16 June 2010. Even our greenhouse now sports a sign. It pays to advertise!
06 June 2010. Margaret Tanner, with help from the Community Payback team, repainted the floral boats and the railings at Foundry.

25 March 2010. Spring is in the air and our gardening team is on the job. Come along to our next meeting on 29 March, 7-30pm at the Rugby Club to hear our latest plans.
